external pageUniversidad Alberto Hurtado (UAH) was founded in 1997 by the Society of Jesus with the purpose of building on the research and graduate programs initiated by the Latin American Institute of Doctrine and Social Studies (ILADES), the Center for Research and Education Development (CIDE) and Roberto Bellarmino Foundation. Since its founding mission, UAH has been conceived as an institution with a strong vocation for public service. Its contribution to the human development and the promotion of a more just society, both in Chile and Latin America, becomes visible through the excellence level of an academic, intellectual and professional work, characterized by a Christian, humanist, pluralist vision and a deep ethical and social sense. The Faculty of Economics and Business has close connections with its Jesuit partners Georgetown University and Fordham University in the US. The Master of Economics offered by the UAH is considered one of the best in the country and it has international recognition.
