Chair of Education Systems new LELAM-TVET4INCOME lead institution

On 1 January 2020 the Chair of Education Systems (CES) became the successor to the Research Division Education Systems, KOF Swiss Economic Institute.

In December 2019, LELAM-TVET4INCOME Project Manager, Prof. Ursula Renold, was named Full Professor of Education Systems by the ETH Board. On 1 January 2020, the Chair of Education Systems (CES) came into existence as the continuation of the previous Research Division Education Systems, a division of the KOF Swiss Economic Institute between April 2013 and December 2019. The CES is attached to the Department of Management, Technology, and Economics (D-MTEC) at ETH Zürich.

The CES’s research focus areas are international comparative education systems research, education systems dynamics and institutional frameworks, and translational research to evaluate and develop education systems. It maintains partnerships with national and international experts and leaders in education systems from academic, government and private sectors. It leads and participates in projects on both a local and global scale that seek to better understand and improve the functioning of education systems. The LELAM-TVET4INCOME project is positioned as an important component of the CES’s activities.
